Today, we are sharing the news that Rebecca Aleman, our beloved director of Camp I Am Special, will be leaving our organization at the end of this week.
Over the past 11 years, Rebecca has made an immeasurable impact on the lives of hundreds of individuals with intellectual and developmental differences (IDDs) through her work. Rebecca’s leadership, creativity, and commitment played a pivotal role in growing Camp I Am Special into the inclusive, robust initiative it is today.
Rebecca’s legacy will endure as we continue providing this singular experience for kids, teens, and adults with IDDs. We are blessed to still call her a proud supporter of Camp I Am Special and wish her nothing but the best of luck in her next ventures.
Kimberly Reed has been named the interim Camp I Am Special Director, and she has been working diligently with Rebecca and our entire leadership team to shore up plans for this summer’s Social Skills Safari camp.
Stay tuned for more information, and if you have any questions, please email Kimberly at kreed@ccbjax.org or call 904-899-5501.
Thank you for your continued support of Camp I Am Special, and we hope you’ll join us in sending our love and gratitude to Rebecca for her time and tenure!
Sincerely,
The Catholic Charities Team
