Important Update: Refugee Resettlement

Program Closure

 

Due to ongoing federal funding cuts, Catholic Charities Bureau is deeply saddened to announce that we will be closing our Refugee Resettlement Program. This decision follows the elimination of funding from the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).

 

Unfortunately, this funding freeze has forced us to cease our reception and placement services, case management, employment assistance, and financial support effective March 28, 2025.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone we’ve had the privilege of serving. Our work with refugees has always been a source of pride, and we are grateful for the opportunity to assist so many in their journey to a new life.

While we can no longer provide the services previously offered, we encourage continued participation in our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program. Additionally, we’ve compiled a list of local community resources that may help during this transition.
