  • Deacon Gjet Bajraktari, director of the Diocese of St. Augustine’s Apostleship of the Sea Ministry, recently received the Maritime Samaritan Award from the national association. Bajraktari has directed the ministry, which offers counseling and spiritual support to mariners, fishermen, dock workers, work boat operators and cruise ships, for almost 12 years. Bajraktari was recognized for his dedication and outstanding work in opening centers at Talleyrand Terminal and Blount Island Terminal.
  • Lisa Obringer, one of our awesome volunteers, was named one of seven finalists for Catholic Charities USA Volunteer of the Year Award! Look for her to be featured in the Spring edition of Catholic Charities USA magazine!
